My Story

Passionate about Parenting and Mental Health

The Mindful Parent began as a way for me to combine my passion for Parenting, Mental Health and Mindfulness so I can help  improve the mental health and wellbeing of parents and children.

I offer courses on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindful Parenting and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), with more offerings to come in the near future.  I also write about a range of mental health topics impacting adults and children.

I became a qualified Mindfulness Teacher in 2021 under the guidance of Shamash Alidina, Mindfulness Author and Teacher Trainer and I’m accredited by the Complementary Medical Association in the UK. I'm also a qualified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor and I've recently served as a member of the BounceBack Provincial Advisory Group for the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Mindfulness has been key to my own personal journey in recovering from Trauma, Depression and Burnout.

As someone who lives with Trauma, I have used mindfulness to significantly reduce stress, develop more empathy and compassion for myself and develop stronger bonds with my Children. 

My goal is to use my training and experience in Mindfulness to improve the Mental Health of Adults and Children so they can ultimately feel better and live more.
